Here's an easy way to reduce hangups when fishing crankbaits off rocky points and reefs. Take a small rubber band and loop one end of it over one tine of the forward treble hook, then pass the free end of the band through the split ring or hook hanger of the rear (or middle) hook and loop the free end of the band over a second tine of the forward hook. Repeat this process with the middle/rear hooks if you have a middle hook. Now your hooks will ride up tight against the bait's belly reducing incedents of hangup on the rocks. It's not perfect, but it helps.
