This location is home to a large number of species. Because of the warm water flow out of the plant, and it is a clean burning plant no three eyed fish, the fish stay active so you can catch year round
Its easy to get to, but not always easy to get a spot to fish. The shoreline gets fished day and night. Its easy to get there by boat from the Black Rock boat dock. The location holds all local species and can be fished year round.
Ironpete0827 the answer to your question is yes. There is a parking lot right next to the water and from there your just a few steps away. You can get a great view of the spot with satetlite maps. I looked at it on google maps and I my truck is there. I might get some pics up soon.
I have to agree with you manduke. There was a period of time when fishing was tough. I"ve noticed over the last few years the fishing has gotten better, so it seems that the river is making a comeback. I heard last year that during an electroskock survey that a few monsters were recorded. Now if only I can find them.
Itts great that the river has recovered so well-Iwas an environmental enforcement officer in the early 80's and it was pretty ugly.Good example that fisherman can help the environment by not putting up with pollution.
The ranking score is used to determine how "popular" a trip or location is. It is calculated based off of a weighted average of the number of reviews and the user ratings. For example, a trip with 2 reviews and an average rating of 5 will have a lower "ranking score" than one with 10 reviews and an average rating of 4. This is because even though the first trip has a better average rating, it has not been reviewed as much as the second trip, so it is not as "popular". In the future we may modify the ranking score to take in additional factors, such as the number of views, comments, and photos.
